These innovative rhythms and patterns created by this hit making machine, called THE SOUL BROTHERS, SOUND DIMENSION, SOUL VENDORS and THE JETS,
have been recorded, re-recorded, sampled, re-sampled and copied over and over spanning four (4) decades of the Ska, Rock-Steady and Reggae sounds to date.

On a daily basis, the foundation hit making machine called THE SOUL BROS/SOUL
VENDORS/SOUND DIMENSION consisted of:
BRIAN ATKINSON (Bass), JOE ISAACS (Drums), JACKIE MITTOO (Keyboards & Arranger),
HARRY HAUGHTON (Guitar), HUX BROWN (Guitar), BOBBY ELLIS (Trumpet, Arranger).
SKA CAMPBELL (Tenor Sax). During this time Lee (Scratch) Perry was an employee of Studio One,
and during this period engineers would vary from Sid Bucknor or Sylvan Morris or Albert Moo Young, etc.
HUX BROWN, was never mentioned as a SOUL VENDOR, but in fact he was a Mighty Viking by
night and a true Soul Vendor by day meaning:
He was in the studio providing lead and rhythm work most times, especially
after the departure of Soul Brother Harry (Sweeting) Haughton who moved on
to Mico Training College, got his degree in Music, now teaches and resides
in Canada.
On a given day, there would be many artists gathered under the Mango tree in
the YARD of Studio One, 13 Brentford Rd, all waiting for an audition, hoping
to get an opportunity to have their songs recorded.
